Arise from the Ruins
Influenced by Francesca Woodman, this series of black-and-white film photographs aims to explore themes of destruction and rebirth. The photos were taken at an abandoned factory on the outskirts of the city, representing oblivion and darkness, while the lily held by the model symbolizes pure life, hope, and redemption. The model in the photographs has been tormented by bipolar disorder for many years. This series can be said to be created for her, reflecting the internal contradictions and struggles of the individual, while also attempting to explain the common experience of being human.
